  After their father's death, Emily, Mary Alice and Katherine had title to and held an undivided interest in a tract of land containing some threehundred eight six and a half acres in District No. 8, White Co., Tenn.The three sisters partitioned among themselves the land left by theirfather as shown by warranty deed dated Sep. 1, 1883. By the mid 1800s,Henry Lyda and Gideon Lyda had moved west with their families. Theysettled in Texas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
