- mentioned in
SAYLOR Benjamin History of York co., Pa. By John Gibson. Chicago.1886. (772, 207p.):323
---------------------------
1860 census
Benjamin F. Saylor at 3 yrs. old son of William 33 and Susannah 27,brother of Clara 1
Montgomery Co. Norristown p174 [his first son named William]
Benjamin Sailor at 6 yrs old with Samuel Sailor 64 (Day Laborer Tenant)and Catherina 75
Lancaster Co. Clay twp p18 - [better age and with other people like at 15in the 1870 census]
I think this is the one, as Samuel and Catherine are found in 1850 inOhio with all their children, one of whom is Samuel, age 20. He does notshow up in the whole country in 1860 so I think he died. He may have leftBen with the gparents, who moved back to pa where they were from.
